Artillery firing speed post 12.20 update

It has come to attention of the community that the firing speed of artillery is faster post update. This is NOT due to agility drone. Please see attached videos from the community at various ages.

As you can see as soon as the ranged siege is placed, it's firing like it's on crack without an agility drone in the vicinity.

Rs were not firing this way pre update.

It's the mongol coalition (speed) coupled with showcases (damage). The library text was updated only, and as nobodyknowsthetrouble points out it was noted in 12.18, no data was changed otherwise.
How does the showcase affect the artillery attack speed?
No one museum artifact has a benefit that would increase the artillery attack speed.

At the same time, the bonus percentage from the Mongol coalition did not change in 12.20, judging by the description.
Or, instead of reducing the bonus as part of the troop rebalance, it was decided to increase the percentage, but without changing its description in the Embassy?

We're aware. This is what happens with the incredible amount of stats benefiting this unit from showcases and the Mongol Coalition. Certainly faster than it should be, have fun for now.

What does the showcase have to do with attack speed?! None of the legendary artifacts give a line on mortar or artillery attack speed.

It sounds to me like you've been given the wrong info again, or you're trying to cover up.

what is the sniper tower issue?
Sniper tower’s ‘explosive damage’ hasn't been in effect properly since the manufactory’s release. (v12.1 Update) It was shooting like a little Bazooka Tower (small radius AOE damage) now this ‘explosive damage’ can only do damage to 2 targets. 🤷
This has been an issue for 2 years.

This has been an issue for 2 years.
We actually did fix that explosive damage upon release. If you recall the radius was so small that it was insanely difficult to notice, so the radius was increased slightly. It wasn't intended to be a large AOE to begin with.

The issue is: in the past,(before 12.1) if 100 infantry stood very very close together, a sniper tower shot would damage them ALL. Of course I know the radius is small. But now, no matter how many troops are standing close together, one sniper tower shot can only damage 2 targets at most. Even 100 infantry stand exactly together.

that 3rd clip with artillety and the walls... what the hell.

context... what coalitions and artifacts are equipped. if this is a bug a full context on what is equiped is needed

Given some discussion with another member of the community, shout out to Mums, it's been brought to my attention that it's actually not the benefit from showcases impacting attack speed (nor should it). Instead, wording was changed, and I presume the math, in a library chapter for range siege attack speed. Attached are two pictures. One is from the unofficial wiki, but had information prior to the update. The other is the wording post update.

The result is that you get +97.5% attack speed on ranged siege from Space Age where you can add a second munition to artillery. 76.5% mongols+10% lib+11% munitions=97.5%

My questions to you and @BHGAustin are 1) if you can confirm this is the indeed what is causing the faster firing speed and 2) why this was updated and not included in patch notes? If it's in the patch notes and I missed it, my apologies can you point me to it?

However, I cannot determine whether the text was changed 2 months ago or few days ago.
Yeah the text was definitely updated in 12.18 per those update notes... That said the firing speed has been felt after 12.20... It's also roughly consistent with a 10% increase.
