Good morning,
I like to start this thread by putting a spotlight on the business approach that has modeled itself into Domination Strategy.
The Carrot and Stick Model of tokens for all Legendary Gear pieces except the VIP 15 and Tournament of Glory legendary. Which in turn, I believe to be fair and I agree with this practice model. One piece is locked for people that spent a lot of money and investment in the game. The other is a tournament item and needs to be worked as a team in each alliance to obtain it.
But now it’s not all legendary in fact, it’s VIP 15 and ToG legendary with fine print and all future legendary will be locked until you pay us for it and then will continue to lock it forever.
So in a way the company has created a new sort of class system for P2W and Free players. The free players will get all the legendary ever made in the past since the game debut. The legendary shop soon becomes a new meaning to the (all) legendary. P2W is forced to have to buy all the new legendary in each event as they will never see those legendary again.
You might as well just make a premium legendary shop called - New Legendary Event Pass for Crowns. List all the legendary released for each year for crowns only.
The practice of not making a legendary shop for mythic is strange too. Why lock them in a monthly rotation anymore? Most people aren’t going to be able to buy all mythic in one go?
Anyway - this is just food for thought that I have noticed now.
For the transparency part of the thread - please bring back giving us more than a month notice of what changes are coming to each patch. So we can discuss the changes and see what approach the developers have in mind for the future of the game. It feels like cloak and daggers to the community again. We don’t want the information of changes sent to us a week before the patch is released. That’s how it’s been lately and giving us cryptic clues like videos to show what changes you have in mind for rebalances isn’t a good practice. Just give us an outline or bulletin notice.
